Founder of  
Diamonds on the Green

Sharron D. Christian is the founder of Diamonds on the Green, a Women’s Golf Club/Organization in the Dallas Metroplex Area(McKinney, TX). Sharron’s passion for golf put her on a mission to help minority youth obtain unclaimed monies for scholarships through networking and reaching out to the community for assistance. Through this effort and determination, a Youth Golf Program/ Emeralds on the Green, formerly known as DC on the Green has been implemented and is sponsored by Diamonds on the Green & DCSportsDFW which also teaches the youth life skills.

 

Sharron founded a non-profit organization 15 years ago called, Women of Integrity, which initially started out as a social book club and partially evolved in focusing on supporting and empowering battered women.  In addition to reading books, WOI was created with a passion to capture the attention of positive women that could make a difference in the community by telling their stories of triumph and how they overcame adversities, life challenges, life disappointments, and broken hearts.

 

To date, Sharron is a member and serves on the Board of Directors for Heroes, Cops and Kids organization, whereas she plays the role of STORM from X-Men that mentors the youth, and visits terminally ill children.

Most recently, Sharron was an Entertainment Writer for one of DFW’s well-known minority newspapers and served on the Board of Directors for Granny’s Place (transition home for aged-out foster children). Outside of community engagements, Sharron is the mother of two who keeps her busy and abreast of new and innovative ideas. Sharron is a Texas native who was afforded the opportunity to travel the world at an early age with her father who is now a retired Pastor and Drill Sergeant and her mother, a retired school teacher.

 

Sharron has a B.B.A. in Business Management & Associate of Arts in Business and a Certified Project Manager.
